After running the Installation program, with the mic plugged in, check in Device Manager to see if the drivers have been loaded. This can be reached by right-clicking My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager button.

If the Samson drivers are loaded, the device under Sound, video and game controllers will be Samson Audio (WDM), and the device under Universal Serial Bus controllers will be Samson C01U. If the drivers aren't loaded, the system drivers are used. The Samson microphone then shows up under Sound, video and game controllers as USB Audio Device and under Universal Serial Bus controllersas USB Composite Device.

Right-click on the devices and select Properties to see the driver information. Under the Driver tab it will show the driver currently in use. The following box shows the system driver:

To update it, click Update Driver.

Choose 'Install from a list or specific location'.

When the installation is complete, press Finish.

Now do the same procedure for the other device if it doesn't do it automatically. (You should do this for both USB Audio Device and USB Composite Device.)

After you're done, their names should change under Device Manager. The device under Sound, video and game controllers will become Samson Audio (WDM), and the device under Universal Serial Bus controllers will become Samson C01U. The Driver listed under the Driver tab should be different for each, too. Make sure the latest version is shown in the Driver tab for both devices (here it is 1.0.15.0).

If the driver is not the correct version, you should be able to find the latest version by pressing the Update Driver… button.
