AFTER a long time absolute newcomers have got such a thundering opening intheir debut film. And voila! The film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, has been declared a hit.

The film`s about a love story involving Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) and Sonia (Amisha Patel) and how things go topsy-turvy in their lives. Rohit is acharming salesman and dreams of a career as a pop star and during one such song `n` dance sequence meets the love of his life Amisha.

Together they go sailing and singing on a cruise boat where the very hummable song Pyaar Ki Masti Main has been beautifully picturised.They also get marooned on an island where they take very filmi vows ofliving together forever etc. When rescued from the island they are separatedat the behest of Sonia`s father (Anupam Kher) and then follows lots of tear shedding and heartache.

The twist in the tale comes in when Rohit witnesses a murder, which hasbeen ordered by Sonia`s dad. Chased and bruised, Rohit falls off a cliffinto the gushing waters below. Prince of persia telugu movie.

Sonia is inconsolable at her loss. The heartbroken lass is then packedoff to the idyllic locales of far-off New Zealand so that she gets better.

Once there, she bumps into Rohit`s look-alike Raj and that`s where thestory gets a boost. But, Sonia is in a dilemma whether Raj is her real loveor no. To answer to all this Raj has to prove his identity and his worth,which he does in the latter part of the film with the help of the usualdrama of good versus evil.

Technically this extravagant film, with amazing locales, provides for acompelling viewing. Cinematographer Kabir Lal excels in capturing thebreath-taking visuals of New Zealand.

Diretor and yester-year star Rakesh Roshan does justice to both his sonHrithik and Amisha. Rajesh Roshan`s music is great and adds to the movie`sappeal and so do two of Lucky Ali`s numbers.

Hrithik and Amisha were successful in carrying the film, although this isHrithik Roshan`s film all the way. They look confident and have the spiritto go places. His attempt in varying the voices of the two characters Rohitand Raj is a good attempt. The first star of the new millennium has arrived.
