How To Create An Incognito Shortcut Specific Website Chrome
Incognito Mode is Google Chrome's private browsing mode. When you load websites in Incognito Mode, session data that is stored locally is not stored. In other words, Chrome does not save data to the browsing history, cache, or cookie storage among others. If you prefer using the web without having your details like accounts or history stored on the browser, you might prefer Incognito mode of the Chrome.Though opening Chrome in incognito mode is easy, you can create a desktop shortcut that will directly open Chrome in incognito without opening regular mode first.
Don’t want to leave a record of that website you’re visiting? You might want to activate Incognito Mode, sometimes known as Private Mode. Maybe you’ve downloaded something that you don’t want the next person who uses that Google Chrome browser to see. Incognito mode stops the Chrome browser from saving your activity.
Keep in mind that Incognito Mode only keeps your activity private on the computer you are using. For example, if you use your computer at work and set it to Private Mode, your employer can still see your activity. Your service provider and the actual sites you visit will also be able to monitor what you view. Incognito Mode will prevent records of what you download, but the downloaded files will still be on the computer. Remember to remove the files when you are finished using Private Mode.
You can use the Google Chrome browser on your PC, Mac, Android devices, and iOS devices. Look below for instructions on activating Incognito Mode on each type of device.

Happy browsing!
So you have Microsoft Windows set to use Chrome as your default browser, but you want to use a desktop shortcut to open a specific site in IE. Or maybe another website icon that will only work in Firefox. Creating a shortcut to a web document won’t work. However, you can open a URL using a shortcut to a non-default browser using these steps:
- Right-click a blank area of the desktop and select “New” > “Shortcut“.
- For the location, type the path to the browser you wish to use followed by the URL you wish to open. For example:
- Chrome: “C:Program Files (x86)GoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe” https://technipages.com
- IE: “C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe” https://technipages.com
- Firefox: “C:Program Files (x86)Mozilla Firefoxfirefox.exe” https://technipages.com
- Provide the name for the shortcut. You will probably want to use the name of the website in most cases.
- Select “Next“.
- Select “Finish“.
Now you have a shortcut that will open the website in a specific web browser, no matter what the default browser is set to in Windows.
I have tested this thoroughly and it works in Windows 7 as well as Windows 10.
